There is something about lace that just makes a woman feel beautiful.  Could it be the romantic texture of lines meeting and forming beautiful shapes or the way it shows off femininity.  A lace overlay screams sex appeal while a lace trim or pattern says style icon.

Lace can be worn in many different ways.  It can take you back to a time long ago that says yes I am going for afternoon tea, which today can be shopping, going to brunch or frolicking around the streets of your town.

I'm all about the love on the blog today! For whatever reason I'm totally pumped about this year's Valentine's Day! I guess I look at it not only as a time to celebrate the love of an SO (significant other) but all the love in your life - friends, long lost acquaintances, pets, family, passion for fashion...etc. etc.!

There was a time when the doily was confined to Grandma’s house, but the lovely doily has made a strong comeback. Grannies and op-shops alike have been raided as bride-to-be’s search for doilies to decorate anything and everything.

From a kitchen tea to a wedding, the doily can be used on any occasion. They belong perfectly in a rustic or vintage wedding theme, but don’t dismiss them as a theme of their own!

I love tea. I love going to tea... and I love this adorable tea party!  From the fantastic dresses to the vintage turquoise camper... the details are fantastically creative. Lottie Fowler from Couture Events by Lottie... and the rest of her fabulous team who created this shoot - really gave it their all.
